If the Lightning Bug doesn't get the fish's attention then you better break out the streamer rod. This very flashy pattern has become a staple on Washington's Yakima River and other northwest rivers. Fish it as an attractor nymph but small sizes, like size 16, make an interesting PMD nymph. Try fishing the Lightning Bug with a more realistic pattern on a dropper. Size 14 pictured.
