Rio VersiTip Fly Line

Multi-tip fly line systems like Rio's Versi-Tip just make sense for steelhead and salmon anglers that are swinging flies. They enable you to quickly and easily change the tip of your fly line depending on the conditions you encounter. For winter steelhead fishing, you may fish three different tips just going through one run and the multi-tip design allows you to do that quickly, without the need for extra spools, and without having to re-string your rod every time you change a tip. The Rio VersiTip line, the original and most popular of the multi-tip fly lines, gives you the floating main body, four or five 15-foot tips, and a mesh wallet to store the tips. The tips that are included are a floating tip, a clear intermediate sinking tip (1-2 ips), a type 3 sinking tip (3-4 ips), a type 6 sink-tip (6-7 ips), and for 8-weight sizes and up, you also get a type 8 tip (8-9 ips).
