Michael Bennett
Owner, General Manager
Michael Bennett is Pacific Fly Fisher's principal owner and
General Manager. His responsibilities include the daily operations
of the Pacific Fly Fishers store and most days you can find him
on the shop floor.
Michael grew up fishing along the Umpqua and Rogue rivers
in Southern Oregon. He is now a passionate steelhead aficionado,
spending time on the Skykomish, Stillaguamish, Hoh, Deschutes,
Grande Ronde, Klickitat, and rivers of the Skeena in Northern
British Columbia. Michael also enjoys Washington's outstanding
stillwater trout fishing, the Yakima, and just about anywhere else
where the fish will take a fly. He has fly fished from Mexico to
Alaska for bluegill to blue sharks.
Michael became a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting
Instructor in 1994 and has been teaching fly fishing, casting, and
tying classes since the age of 22. He is a contributing author and
photographer in Northwest Fly Fishing magazine.
Things you'll hear Michael say:
"No, wait. It's a whitefish"
"Feel like driving? I'm falling asleep"
"It should only take a couple hours"
"Okay, just a couple more casts"
