The Thompson River is a big river that is known for big fish that take small dry and wet flies on
floating lines. On this trip, however, water temperatures were 40-degrees F. and we decided to
try and coax the fish on big flies and light sink-tip lines. This nice hen was taken on a type III sink-
tip and an unweighted black and blue Steelhead Exasperator.
